Updated Photoblog
Added another update to the photoblog, from the same shoot as the last one. Like the other photos, I do a light develop in Adobe Lightroom, then bring it over into Photoshop CS3
where I’ve been using Scott Kelby’s 7-Point System for Adobe Photoshop CS3
to finish the photos, along with some additional work in LAB mode.
This place is normally crowded with visitors, but I arrived minutes before sundown to do some quick shooting and hiked out in the dark. Always worth it for the unpopulated photograph.
I shot this with a Nikon D80 using the ever popular Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens
. It’s was a great lens for this location due to the multiple shooting locations possible. Also had my polarizer on to cut down on some of the reflections in the water (not necessarily here, but other shots downstream). In addition the polarizer has a tendency to really deepen the colors quite a bit, an effect that can’t easily or accurately be duplicated in post processing, but it gave some nice jewel tones in the water.
Anyway you can expect several more of these, as I’ve got 3 waterfall shoots from the summer/fall to get through yet. Feel free to shoot me some feedback.
