The Olympus SP-565 UZ Review
The Olympus SP-565 UZ’s calling card is the borderline ridiculous 20x, 520mm lens. Yes, it also sports a 10 megapixel sensor, 2.5 inch LCD, face detection, but let’s face it, the 20x zoom is the specification that most folks will be concerned with. Overall the SP-565 UZ is a pretty good camera, and in Photography Blog’s review that monster zoom lens performs pretty well:
Images are reasonably sharp and detailed, though – as to be expected – occasionally soft when shooting at maximum telephoto and so benefiting from a subtle application of unsharp mask. Still, at least here the lens seems capable of resolving the pixel count provided by the sensor.
