Nikon D700 versus Canon EOS 5D: A Full Frame Digital Camera Comparison Canon 50D Digital SLR Camera Will Compete Directly Against the Nikon D300 on Aug. 26
The Canon 50D Is Not Replacing the 40D
Make what you will of it, but if this is true:
I don’t know why I always feel compelled to reply to posts like this but the comments are always so frustrating.
I am a canon dealer:
1. This is not a replacement for the 40D which will remain in Canon’s line for some time, it is a direct response to the D300. P.S. these specs are a bit off as it will allow ISO 25,000.
2. Canon will not and has not released any specs on the “New 5D” until Photokina in September. When they do, expect them to be similar to the D700.
That is information directly from the horses mouth, now proceed to ignore it and conjecture away.
Then 2 things:
- Canon is going to compete with the D300 in terms of ISO/Noise and
- 5D replacement at Photokina!
