Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Review
The Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) provides some serious wide angle with useful range. At under $500, the Tamron 10-24 is pretty popular with cropped sensor photographers thanks to darned good performance. In a review at DPReview, the Tamron takes home a “recommended”:
in absolute terms image quality is perfectly acceptable for a lens at this price point. In terms of sharpness and chromatic aberration, the 10-24mm is broadly comparable to mid-range zooms such as the Nikon AF-S 18-200mm F3.5-5.6G VR, but without the extreme barrel distortion such lenses exhibit at wideangle
