Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX1 Review at Photography Bay

A nifty and even innovative compact, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX1 is a 10 megapixel camera with a 5x zoom lens that’s 24mm on the wide end with and impressive maximum aperture of f/2.4. It also features several cool photographer friendly features like Sony’s very cool “sweep panorama” and two interesting shooting modes, one for low light shooting and one that helps to reduce blur in your photographs. Finally, it also has a burst mode good for 10 fps, so yeah it’s an interesting compact. The folks at Photography Bay have had their hands on a WX1 recently and have posted their review. It sounds like those neat features add up to a solid offering from Sony:

Overall, I think the Sony WX1 is one of the leading, consumer-oriented point and shoot cameras. If you’re ready to recognize that a pocket-sized camera is smarter than you, and you can trust it to do it’s job, you’ll have a happy relationship with the Sony WX1.
