Sony 135mm f/1.8 Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* SAL-135F18Z Review

The Sony 135mm f/1.8 Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* SAL-135F18Z provides excellent sharpness even at f/1.8 and razor thin depth of field in a review of this optically impressive lens at SLRgear:

On the full-frame A900, the 24-megapixel taxes the resolution of the lens to the limit. Even so, at ƒ/1.8, the lens holds its own and provides excellent results – still sharp in the center, at 1.5 blur units, but now showing some very slight corner softness, at just over 2 blur units.

So, better than usable results while shooting wide open on a full frame camera. Everything else checks out too, no real distortion, insignificant CA, and nice build quality. In short, a stellar lens.
