Ricoh CX2 Review at Photography Blog: “Highly Recommended”
The 9 megapixel Ricoh CX2 offers a 10.7x, 28-300mm lens, 5 fps continuous shooting speed, in-camera high dynamic range images, and the all you can ask for 3 inch, 920K LCD. So right off the bat, you’ve got an impressively spec’d digital compact camera. Also helping, plenty of good press coverage, most recently at Photography Blog, where the CX2 earns a “Highly Recommended” for the versatile lens, dynamic range, and image quality improvements over the CX1:
Ricoh have also maintained the big step forward that they took with the CX1 in terms of image quality. We criticized earlier models for producing noisy images at relatively slow ISO speeds, but the 9 megapixel CMOS sensor has definitely improved things here, with a now usable ISO range of 80-800, and even the fastest ISO 1600 setting OK for small prints and web images.
