In case you missed it, Michael Reichmann of Luminous Landscape is back from a photo trip to the Antarctica with a bunch of eager photograhers with a wide range of camera gear. He’s penned a “what worked” essay here. There’s a bit more info on that Canon 5D2 failure rate, seems the battery grip might have been a factor.
