Sony A900 In Its Birthday Suit Nikon Coolpix P90 Review

Remainders: Sony World Photography Winners, Photographer Eileen Quinlan, and More.

Finally things picked up today. If you haven’t noticed there has been a post PMA hangover hovering over the photography blog-o-sphere, but today there was a bit more news, and thus we have another edition of “Remainders”

Sony announced their World Photography winners, and you might want to spend some time flipping through them.

Photographer Eileen Quinlan has a show at Boston’s ICA running through July 12. Quinlan is an abstract photographer, or at least the result appears to be “abstract”. Using mylar sheets, and mirrors, and shiny things in general, the end results are kind of interesting. A bit of a visual bio here.

A Canon 500D Digital Rebel is coming, guaranteed for sure. That according to 1001 Noisy Cameras. The rumor is a 15 megapixel camera with of (course!) high definition video. Again, absolutely, totally, guaranteed…according to noisy.

A manic review of the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, a camera very near to my heart.

Photographer April Gertler takes pictures of dioramas, and the results are strange, but nice. Click on the “if only” link when you get there.

That’s it for now.
