Photographer Miranda Lehman
2 things.
- First, I always think its interesting what other people find interesting. Photography can’t help but to point this out all the time.
- Second, aspect ratio is highly underated. One of the the things I’ve noticed lately is the power of the square. In addition, a body of work frequently looks more like a body of work when all the work shares the same aspect. Just something to think about when you pick up that crop tool (shortcut R in lightroom, C in photoshop).
Which brings us to Miranda Lehman, nice work. Nothing fancy. Not overdone in post, just nice.

Very interesting work. Thanks for the post Pat. I’m assuming she’s shooting a rolleiflex or some 6×6, what do you think? I especially like it as i have been cropping my photos to 6×6 for 6 months or so now because of the interesting an nostalgic look of the square format. I most pointedly love the effect of a 6×6 made with the 5d2.
Yes, she’s shooting one of those 6×6′ers don’t know specifically which one though, I know she shoots on fuji rap 100f, or at least has shot on it. She has a flickr if you’d like to see more…

“not overdone in post”… yes indeed. It’s interesting how much of the popular photo art work on the web is way over-processed.
I made a post about it once:

Yes, but you’ve got a well know bias to “post”.
in short:
Red camera: good
round bubbly cameras: good
machines: good
processing of images: bad.
