Olympus 12-60mm f/2.8-4 ED SWD Zuiko Digital Lens Review: Sharp Glass
One thing you’ll notice over and over again is that Olympus makes some very nice glass, so if you thought they’d compromise on a nice walk around lens, well they didn’t with the Olympus 12-60 f/2.8-4 SWD Zuiko Digital lens. In a review at SLRgear, the 12-60mm earns plenty of praise for impressive optics:
There’s not much more to say about this lens for which our tests don’t speak for themselves – the lens is a winner optically, producing very sharp images even wide open
-SLRgear
Build quality is good, chromatic aberrations well controlled, distortion is manageable, and light falloff–for the most part, shouldn’t be an issue. The only flaw discussed centers around AF issues, where the Olympus 12-60 had some problems performing consistantly.
The details here.

I can’s say much more about this lens, but for me Olympus has a good experience for good lens.
I’m amazed at how focused they seem on producing quality glass…regardless of price point.
