As basically expected few external changes. On the back you’ll get the big 3″ LCD, an additional live view button, and the OK goes to the center of the directional pad which would have made more sense to begin with. On the side you have additional hookups for HDMI (more on that…) and GPS. The basic stats:
- 12 megapixels
- 4.5 FPS
- Live view
- 11 AF points
- 3 inch LCD
- Kit lens: 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G DX VR
But Thom goes on to mention:
On the front there’s a microphone grill next to the infrared receiver.
why?
The big news, however, is that Live View now has a twist that other DSLRs can’t currently claim: it can record video (thus the microphone grill)
We’ll have to wait and see about the resolution of said video though
Still no announcement date set, but I’d bet before photokina.
