Grabbed from Target, but gone now.

Update: Thanks to Eolake in the comments, I noticed that the lens in the second picture looks alot like the AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR, which is a kit lens as well.

Noticed Nikon Rumors has a few more plus specs:

  • video recording, with “real movie-like” quality
  • 12,3 Mpx.
  • ISO 200-3.200 plus Lo1 (100) and Hi 1 (6.400)
  • 3″ 900.000 dots LCD
  • 11 AF points
  • AF-S DX 18-105 mm f/3,5-5,6G ED VR
  • 15 elements/11 groups
  • 1 aspherical
  • 1 ED
  • 1 Hibrid Asph.
  • Minimum focus: 0,45 m
  • Diaph. blades: 7

Some conversation here.

As a D80 owner, I notice the thumb grip has changed, a slight grip for the left hand (not on D80 and I’ll bet it’s there to help hold while in live view), the OK button moved inside the D Pad, obviously the microphone, but there is 2 additional buttons on the dpad side I can’t make out. One is probably Live View, but don’t know about the other. And I can’t make out the dial on top of the camera at all. Just curious about the “movie” button, but I’d assume that’s a “mode” on the dial. I love the form factor of the D80, so to me this looks pretty good to me…What do you guys think?

  1. Looks very promising indeed. Might be the closest thing yet to the ideal all-round camera, especially if the kit lens is really good, like many recent lenses have been.
I love it looks very compact.

  2. Can you make out what lens this is? It seems different from the lens on nikonrumors.

  3. Eolake,
looks like AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II to me but with VR. That’d be something new (I think). But you’re right it is a different lens than the front shot.
