Nikon D700 Digital SLR Camera Review

by Patrick on September 1, 2008

Still not satisfied that Nikon’s D700 is nearly every bit as good as the D3, but for $2000 less? Perhaps Digital Camera Review’s review will help you finally (what the hell is taking you so long) threshhold.

I don’t have a lot to add, but I for one never get tired of pixel peeping on those 3200, 6400, and yes ISO 12,800 sample shots. O.K., yes I know most folks are not going to be using this range, but for me the versatility this camera brings in capturing shots under all conditions has me seriously thinking about upgrading (way) over my head to the Nikon D700. Please, please, try to talk me out of it….

I know how you feel.
I would get it, except that as a walk-around photographer, I don’t need a camera to be any bigger than the size of, say, the Nikon D90.

And I’m looking forward to seeing what the Micro Four Thirds will bring forth.

This isn’t a question of need for me, like most things…I just want it, pretty bad reasoning I know.

No, I’m the same way.
But I bought the D2x and the D200, and I barely used them, just too big.

And the image quality I want is coming to smaller and cheaper cameras every year, so I keep “downgrading” to those! :-)

By the way, I’ve given you a link on my girlie site domai.com, that should send a bit of traffic.

Eolake, you’re right the D60xx is bound to be as good as the D3 if you can’t wait 2 years.
And links are always good…
