Nikon D3000 Review at British Joural of Photography
The 10.2 megapixel D3000 is Nikon’s newest entry level DSLR camera that is ideally suited for the first time DSLR purchaser. With extensive hand-holding via plenty of on-screen help, the D3000 should help SLR novices make the adjustment from point and shoot to bigger and better things. Entry level doesn’t mean sub-par image quality though, in a review at the British Journal of Photography, the D3000 was found to be capable of highly detailed images:
The low-pass filter must be one of the weakest around, similar to the original Sony Alpha 100, which was the first to use this particular CCD sensor. The images are strikingly detailed, with a pixel-level resolution unaffected by in-camera noise reduction.
