Fujifilm Releases Firmware For Several Megazoom Models

header_corplogoFujifilm Global has announced firmware releases for a number of their megazoom type compact cameras. FinePix models S2500HD, S2550HD, S2600HD, S2700HD, S1800, S1850, S1880, S1900, S1600, S1700, S1730, S1770, and the S1780 all receive the new firmware. The details of the firmware corrections or improvements are explained by Fujifilm:

The firmware update (Ver.1.02 to Ver.1.04) incorporates the following issues

  • It improves the phenomenon that unwanted number of sheets are printed by setting with “PictBridge” function.
  • *For using PictBrige function, connection between the camera to the printer is required.
  • It improves the handling when playing back images.

The firmware update (Ver.1.00 to Ver.1.02) incorporates the following issues

  • Image quality (color reproduction) of live view and movie has been improved for relatively dark portion in whole image area.
  • Aspect ratio of live view and recorded data (only for HD movie setting) has been optimized for displaying on both camera LCD and HDTV.
  • Displayed aspect ratio of HD movie through HDMI terminal has been optimized for displaying on HDTV. (for S2500HD / S2600HD only)
