Flip MinoHD Review
Eric at Photography Bay reviews the Flip MinoHD, a small and affordable high definition (720p) video camera that shoots 60 minutes of HD video and includes a flip out USB connection. Because of their pocket size and low pricing, they are a very popular option for consumers wanting to record HD video, and it is a permanent resident on Amazon’s best seller list. So how’s it perform?
When filming, the Flip MinoHD handles much like a cell phone camera due to the size and design. While there is a certain awkwardness associated with this design compared to traditional video cameras, it really doesn’t take long to get used to. It’s still awkward, but you get used to it.
Video quality is what I’d call “good” for a personal camcorder. Sure, the bulkier HD camcorders will produce a cleaner picture, but you’ll have it with you less. Actually, the Flip MinoHD gives a lot more quality than I would have expected from a camera with such a small sensor.

As you’d expect from a device this small and this affordable, there’s bound to be compromises with the Flip MinoHD, but for HD video in your pocket, and ease of use, the MinoHD is a good value.
