No additional info on specs or even an actual model name, but it’s possible we’re just one week away from having all the blanks finally filled in.
Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the specifications, but EOS-Numerique.com is listing the following as an “exclusive”:
- Sensor: CMOS 24X36 24 MP
- New battery, new grip *
- Processor: DIGIC IV *
- Magnesium alloy case *
- Live view *
- Video mode- (note: recently some speculating on this being 1080p as Eric does here)
- System of integrated cleaning *
- Compatible objectives EFF and Speedlite EX
More as we get it.

Actually no, that part is made up.
Though I do lie about it sometimes to journalists, saying it’s old Norse for “log cabin”.
I’m looking forward to the 17th..
I second that Timmermann!
