Canon’s Not Done Yet

In the “what my canon sales rep told me” class of rumors, which by all accounts are absolutely the most reliable…we have this from DPR forum member “d smith”:

I also asked if everything I had received in a previous email was all that was being announced at PMA, I then added, “but I bet you can’t tell me right?” The answer I surprisingly heard back was a slight chuckle and “no, that’s not all.”

Do you need any further proof that there absolutely will be a 5D replacement before the end of PMA than that folks? (Note: I find sarcasm is often easily lost in written form, for the sarcasm impaired, the previous sentence was fully loaded with it.)

Well as it turns out, there is actually just a little bit more, but not necessarily for PMA…

It turns out on January in 24, while Canon was making its camera announcements, Canon executives in Japan were giving a speech on what to further expect this year from Canon:

The whole EOS line will have new product this year.
Second, in world’s market Canon rules in both DC and DSLR. In japan their sales in terms of money is highest as well.
Canon will aim at FULL WIN in all levels .
SED will be annouced this year as well.
