Via, oh so many sites—but lets credit the photographyblog.com, the rumor mill says Canon will announce a new camera(s) at the PMA, January 24, 2008. It would appear to be a no brainer that this would have to be the 5D replacement, at the least to steal away from all the attention Nikon’s D300 is getting. The 5D is an amazing camera- it would certainly be the one I’d get, and quite a few pros seem to use this as their main body for a variety of reasons so you would expect the 5D replacement to get a bump in megapixels, focusing improvements, ISO improvements, live view, and perhaps the HDMI port, and of course still sporting the full frame. Speculation also revolves around a possible Rebel replacement, perhaps with built in video. I suppose for the next month, we can all expect the random trickling of “leaks” to dribble out all the way to the PMA show date.
