Canon EOS 1D Mark IV Firmware Updated: Version 1.0.6

Canon has released a firmware update for the Canon EOS 1D Mark IV. This one might make folks nervous given that it’s AF related, but to me it looks like Canon is trying to stay firmly on top of any and all possible issues with this iteration of the 1D.

Firmware version 1.0.6 looks to address the following:

1. Firmware Version 1.0.6 enhances the AF tracking performance.*
   *AF performance has been enhances for receding subjects and for subjects that are approaching at a low speed.
