Additional Sony Alphas Hinted At: A500, A550

The above shows an A500 and A550 appearing in the drop downs at the Sony Style site (Canada), which has been a pretty consistent precursor to new cameras from Sony. The model numbers will likely mean a bit of grief from A700 owners anxious to upgrade, but might indicate a choice of prosumer options, perhaps in the 12 megapixel range, with 920k screens. I could see the 550 offering something like a flip out LCD or added HD video recording that wouldn’t be offered on a more basic A500, though I think Sony’s implementation of AF in Live View makes for difficulties in adding HD video?
